The red-hot start to the season continued on Monday for the Keota boys’ golf team when they edged South Iowa Cedar League foe Montezuma at Lagos Acres Golf Course. 

The Eagles shot a nine-hole score of 173 to best the Braves’ 178. Senior Luke Hammen tied for meet medalist honors with a 41. Colten Clarahan carded a 43, Cole Kindred 44, and Max Johnson rounded out the results with a 45. Scratch scores included Sawyer Stout 47 and Evan Vittetoe 50.
