The first 18-hole tournament of the season for the Winfield-Mt. Union boys’ golf team was Tuesday at Burlington Golf Club and the Wolves placed fourth out of eight teams.
The Wolves shot a 380 compared to Mount Pleasant’s 360, Notre Dame’s 358, and Van Buren’s 352. Brady Loyd led the team in seventh with a score of 93. Bryce Wade tallied a 94, Carter Loyd 96, and Jacob Kongable 97. Scratch scores included Seth Schurr 104 and Isaac Schurr 105.
WMU gets back at it tonight hosting their first meet of the year against Mediapolis.
