For the second Thursday in a row the Washington boys’ golf team traveled to Mount Pleasant Golf and Country Club and for the second week in a row the Demons placed second behind the Panthers.
Washington shot a nine-hole score of 179 to best Fort Madison’s 218, but not enough to top Mount Pleasant’s 172. Roman Roth was runner-up meet medalist with a 39 just behind Mount Pleasant’s Brevin Wilson with a 38. The freshman Roth had two birdies on hole two and eight. Other Demon scores included Isaac Vetter 45, Luke Beenblossom 46, and John Prochaska 49. Scratch scores included Grant Sobaski 50 and Teague Mayer 51.
The Demons get back at it Tuesday in Fort Madison for a triangular.
