A South Iowa Cedar League golf meet took place at Montezuma Country Club on Thursday and Sigourney split the girl/boy competition.

The Savage girls bested the Braves 202-242 in the nine-hole meet. Sigourney had the five best scores on the day including meet medalist Sidney Morse with a 48. Lily Schmidt and Claire Svenby each carded a 50 and Madelynn Hornback tallied a 54. Scratch scores included Maizy Cowman 56 and Julia VanEe 60.

The Sigourney boys shot a 176, but couldn’t top Montezuma’s 165. Josh Mohr finished third with a 41, Clay Morse 42, Brock Halleran 45, and Ethan Shifflett 48. Other results included Levi Crawford 49 and Cade Streigle 52. 

The Savages get back on the course Monday at Diamond Trail Golf Club in Lynnville.
