Lisbon hosted their first track meet in program history on Thursday and a few area schools made the unique trip.

The Sigourney girls placed sixth out of nine teams with 62 points and North Cedar took home the team title with 146. Rain Barthelman bested the whole field in the 400m hurdles (1:17) and Kaylee Weber claimed first in the shot put (32’6’’). Courtney Hemsley was third in the 400m (1:08) and the shuttle hurdle was also third (1:17). Highland picked up 56 points to place eighth. The 4x200m relay had the best team finish in second (1:53). Sarah Burton was third in the long jump (15’8.75’’) and 4x100m relay third (53.11). 

The Sigourney boys recorded 48 points to place seventh and Anamosa won with 161. Mason Moore had a pair of runner-up finishes in the 1600m (4:54) and 3200m (10:26) and Gavin Sereg was second in the high jump (5’10’’). Highland was 10th with 30 points. Connor Grinstead placed third in the 100m (12.10) and 200m (24.0).
