The Columbus Community soccer teams made a trip to Tipton for non-conference action on Friday and it was a successful one with the Wildcats holding on for a sweep.

Fans experienced free soccer in the girls’ game with the game tied at 2-2 at the end of regulation and the Wildcats winning in penalty kicks 4-2. Juvixsa Valdez continues to put up big numbers offensively with another hat trick. Miriam Ruvalcaba had the other goal for Columbus. Alynna Leos managed 16 saves in goal with a 89% save efficiency. The Columbus boys controlled the game start to finish to win 4-1.

The Wildcat boys improve to 4-1 and the girls are now 3-1.
