The Hillcrest Academy and Columbus boys and girls track teams travel to Donnellson tonight for the Hawk Relays at Central Lee High School.

Hillcrest last ran Monday at the Lion Relays at Lone Tree where they were led by Madelyn Fox’s championship in the 3000. The Raven boys saw Aaron Hershberger post two runner-up finishes, taking second in the 110 and 400 hurdles.

The Columbus boys last ran at Lone Tree a week ago where they placed third with 101 points. The Wildcats had five event runners-up including Kaden Amigon in the 400, Isaac Acosta in the one mile, Freddy Vergara in the two mile, Mason Hodges in the discus and the 4x800m relay team.

The Wildcat girls were fifth at Lone Tree a week ago. Columbus got event wins from Michelle Diaz in the shot put and Libby White in the discus. The Wildcats also ran at Winfield-Mt. Union last week.

These two teams will be joined today by Cardinal, Danville, Fort Madison, Keokuk, New London, Van Buren and the homestanding Hawks. Action starts at 4:30 and continues into the evening in Donnellson.
