Fifty Washington County residents have now died due to COVID-19 complications according to the state dashboard.
Statewide there are 5,886 deaths reported, and for Washington’s contiguous counties Johnson is at 81 deaths, Louisa has 49, Henry has 37, Jefferson has 35, Keokuk has 30, and Iowa has 24. As of Monday morning the dashboard shows Washington and Iowa counties having a seven-day positive test rate of 2%; Johnson, Louisa, and Keokuk at 6%; and Henry and Jefferson at 3%. Overall the state has a seven-day average positive test rate of 4.4%.
