A three-game win streak was snapped last night for the Columbus Community soccer team when they ran into an offensive buzzsaw that is Burlington Notre Dame and fell 10-0.
Scoring 19 goals in their two previous games combined, the Nikes (3-1) picked up right where they left off recording nine goals in the first half and adding one more out of break for the mercy-rule win. Six Notre Dame players found the back of the net including a hat trick from Lexi Mears. Alynna Leos managed 12 saves for the Wildcats.
Columbus drops to 3-2 and they are off until Thursday, April 29th when they travel to West Liberty.
