
Splitting a Southeast Iowa Super Conference dual is what the Winfield-Mt. Union and Highland golf teams did on Monday at Twin Lakes Golf Course.
The WMU boys shot a nine hole score of 191 and picked up the win with the Huskies only having three competitors. Brady Loyd was meet medalist with a 44 and Jacob Kongable was next with a 47. Carter Loyd finished with a 49 while Bryce Wade and Seth Schurr had 51. Highland’s Peyton Yeggy carded a 52, Jameson Kasparek 64, and Brock Shaedler 68.
The Highland girls returned the favor by winning 224-249. Charlie Aicher had the top score of 44, Kelsi Cerny 59, Kerra Longbine 59, and Jenna Waters 62. WMU scores included Abbie Cooley 56, Ava Hagge 59, Isabel Kann 64, and Allie Humphreys 70.
