After its COVID-19 cancellation last year, a family event is teeing up for its fore-th year next week in downtown Washington.

The Main Street Masters Putt-Putt Tournament hosted by Main Street Washington and sponsored by Custom Impressions will feature over 15 mini-golf holes for those of all ages to play and submit their score card at the end of the evening for the chance to win drawing prizes. Main Street Washington Director Sarah Grunewaldt shares one of the many inventions previously displayed on the course, “They can be as simple as a putting green they purchased from a sporting goods store to they’ve built these elaborate games that you have to play. I know one of the tax preparers, LattaHarris CPA’s, theirs is a giant Plinko board that you putt up a ramp and then it plinkos down to the bottom and it tells you if you got audited or not. Everybody’s a little different so it’s really fun to see how businesses have gotten creative creating these golf holes.”

Main Street Masters lasts from 5:30-8 p.m. Friday, May 7th in the downtown Washington square, and cost to participate is $5 for those nine and older, with proceeds going to Main Street Washington. Players can bring their own putter and ball or borrow one from the participating businesses, and sanitizer stations will be available.
