The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk girls track and field team is on an absolute roll as the season hits the home stretch. The Hawks won their third meet in a row Monday at Center Point-Urbana with 124.33 points. This comes on the heels of Mid-Prairie team titles at Tipton and their own home meet over the last week. The Golden Hawks had six event championships on the night. Mid-Prairie went 1-2 in the 3000 with Ana Fleming winning in 12:01.48 and Phoebe Shetler second. Mitzi Evans won gold in the 200 in 26.46 seconds and Danielle Hostetler was the winner in the 800 in 2:25.05. The Hawks also won three relay titles with the crew of Amber Swart, Amara Jones, Alyssa McDowell and Maddie Edgington winning the 4×100 in 51.99 seconds, that same crew also won the sprint medley in 1:53.00. the Golden Hawks also won the distance medley with a tandem of Maddie Edgington, Alyssa McDowell, Danielle Hostetler and Mitzi Evans in 4:28.65.
Other top finishes for the Hawks included the sprint medley crew taking second in the 4×200, second for Amara Jones in the 400 hurdles, second for Tori Boyse in the discus, third for Sydney Yoder in the 1500 and third for the relay team of Mitzi Evans, Annika Poll, Sydney Yoder and Danielle Hostetler in the 4×800.
