Tuesday was Sawyer Stout and the Keota Eagle boys golf team’s time to shine as they knocked off English Valleys and Hillcrest Academy in a triangular at Knoll Ridge Golf Course in North English. The Eagles took the team title with a score of 181. Stout went lower than anyone on the day, finishing his nine holes with a score of 43. He talked after the meet about his round. “Number seven was big. I hit a good drive and was able to chip on and hit the putt. My short game and putting were on today. This was a really good round for me.”

Other scores for the Eagles included Luke Hammen at 45, Max Johnson 46, Cole Kindred and Colten Clarahan with matching 47s and Caden Sprouse at 51.

Hillcrest was second of the three teams with a 199. Luke Schrock and Jace Rempel each fired 46s to lead the Ravens. Other Hillcrest scores included London Schrock 52, Alex Niemeyer 55 and Josiah Beachy 64.
