Running into a buzzsaw was what the Columbus Community boys’ soccer team did on Tuesday falling to undefeated Burlington Notre Dame 10-0 at home.
The final score was deceiving with the Nikes only up 2-0 at half, but the contest started to unravel out of break. Parker Davis recorded a hat trick for Notre Dame (7-0).
The Wildcats are now 5-3 and travel to West Liberty (6-2) today. The Comets have scored 17 goals in their last two games and Columbus will have to slow down Jahsiah Galvan with his 19 goals on the season.
