The Mid-Prairie chapter of Future Farmers of America was well represented in Des Moines at the State Leadership Conference last month. Bridget Fisher, Anna Nafziger and Carmen Sieren all received their Iowa FFA Degree, the highest honor that can be awarded to a member. Rebekah Meader received a gold rating for her display of the chapter’s service project with the Ronald McDonald House. In Career Development Events, Fisher and Nafziger received bronze awards for their Secretary’s Book as did Marissa Cline, Annie Morrison, Payton Peck and Jacey Sisson in the Ag Skills Contest and Fisher, Sieren and Colby Rourke in the Ag Bio Tech category. Eleven total members of the Mid-Prairie FFA Chapter attended the convention, the first held in-person since 2019.
