The Washington High School vocal music program is eager for their first in-person concert since the fall tomorrow.

This vocal concert will also be the final performance of the school year, excluding commencement, for the singers, and Choir Director Jon Runaas shares what they have in store, “I’m very excited for it. We’ve sort of been saving up some of our pieces to be able to perform them live. We’re going to be doing some pop tunes, we’ll also be doing some traditional choral pieces including a choral piece that was commissioned for this group. The text was written by a poet famous in the choral community, Charles Anthony Silvestri, and we had a former student compose the music for it.”

Their last in-person performance was an outdoor a capella show held in Central Park last fall, and this final concert will be held at 7 p.m. tomorrow in the Washington Area Performing Arts and Events Center. It is free and open to the public, though face masks are required.
