Wednesday is the Southeast Iowa Superconference boys golf meet at Sheaffer Memorial Golf Course in Fort Madison and five KCII-area teams will be in attendance.

The Hillcrest Academy Ravens come into the day off of a 209 to 251 dual win over Columbus last week where they were led by medalist Jace Rempel’s 44. For the year the Ravens have a team average of 212 per nine holes led by Luke Schrock at 48.

Winfield-Mt. Union was also a winner last time out, beating Louisa-Muscatine at Cedar Crest in Columbus Junction last week 177 to 224 behind Brady Loyd’s 41. For the season the Wolves are led by Loyd with a 91 average per 18-holes. As a team the Wolves are shooting an average of 382 in 18-hole tournaments.

Lone Tree was beaten by Mediapolis in their last action 181 to 219 at Heritage Oaks last week.

Highland hosted Wapello at Blue Top Ridge at the Riverside Casino and Golf Resort last week. Despite not posting a team score, the Huskies were led by meet medalist Jamison Kasparek with a 43. Payton Yeggy and Brock Schaedler each shot 52. Highland has a team average of 553 per 18-holes with Yeggy the low man at an 118 average.

Columbus enters play after falling 209-251 to Hillcrest Academy last week where Logan Bright and Robert Coil each shot 60 for the ‘Cats at the Kalona Golf Course. On the season the Wildcats have a 430 team average per 18-holes with Coil leading the way at 99.

Joining those area teams today in Fort Madison will be Louisa-Muscatine, Mediapolis, Pekin, Wapello, Cardinal, Central Lee, Danville, Holy Trinity, New London, Notre Dame, Van Buren and West Burlington. Action continues all day today at the Sheaffer Memorial Golf Course in Fort Madison.
