The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk girls golf team traveled to Muscatine Wednesday for the River Valley Conference Championships. The Hawks finished in seventh place of 14 competing squads with their round of 458, tying with Tipton. The Golden Hawks won the tiebreaker over the Tigers on the fifth score cardback. Mid-Prairie was led on the day by Madi Davidson’s 111. She talked after the meet about her round. “My goal coming in was to shoot under 120. I did that so it was a pretty good day. My irons played well today. I struggled putting but the rest of my game was pretty spot on.”
Other scores for the Hawks included Madelyn Bender 112, Alexa Huber 115, Gabi Robertson 120, Elliot Debler 130 and Claire Zirkelbach 133. Mid-Prairie is back in action today at Blue Top Ridge in Riverside for a makeup triangular with Highland and Lone Tree.
