In a preview of next week’s conference meet in Fairfield, the Washington boys’ golf team invaded Trojan country on Tuesday for an 18-hole tournament and placed fourth out of eight teams.
The Demons shot a 351 while Mount Pleasant won with a 326. Roman Roth continues to rake by winning the meet with a 72 total to beat the competition by three strokes. The freshman shot a one below par 34 on the back-nine where he birdied hole 11, 12, 15, and 18. Teague Mayer tallied a 91 while John Prochaska and Isaac Vetter each had 94. Scratch scores included Grant Sobaski 95 and Luke Beenblossom 97.
Washington gets back at it tomorrow in Fort Madison for a triangular.
