The Sigourney girls’ golf team hit the links Tuesday and Wednesday and they ended up splitting the two contests.

The Savages competed at Edmundson Golf Course in Oskaloosa on Tuesday for a quadrangular. Only two teams have enough for a score with Sigourney carding a nine-hole tally of 217 and Dallas Center-Grimes with a 193. Sidney Morse finished fourth with a 51 and Lily Schmidt was next with a 54. Reggie Talbert managed a 56, Madelynn Hornback 56, Maizy Cowman 57, and Claire Svenby 59. The next day the Savages returned home and beat Ottumwa in a heads up dual 198-213. Schmidt was meet medalist with a 46, Hornback 50, Cowman 51, Morse 51, Svenby 51, and Talbert 59.

Sigourney returns to action Tuesday in Grinnell for the South Iowa Cedar League meet.
