The Mid-Prairie boys and girls golf teams will participate in a River Valley Conference dual Monday against Durant. The Golden Hawk girls will host the Wildcats at the Kalona Golf Course. The Hawks are coming off of a second place finish in a triangular at the Riverside Casino and Golf Resort Thursday where they beat Lone Tree but fell to Highland with their score of 235, led by Alexa Huber’s 55. For the season the Golden Hawks have a 237 average per nine holes, led by Madelyn Bender’s 58 average.

In their last action, Durant was fifth of 10 teams at the Tipton Tigrette Invitational with a score of 419. The Wildcats were led by Karissa Hoon’s score of 100. For the season the Wildcats have a 214 average per nine holes, led by Belle Rockow at 50.

The Mid-Prairie boys go to Durant tonight. They are coming off of a win at Blue Top Ridge on Thursday over Highland and Lone Tree where they shot a team low 179 led by meet medalist Dominic McCain with a 40 and medalist runner-up Warren Scarff with a 44. For the season, Mid-Prairie has a 201 average per nine holes with McCain holding the low average of 38. Durant was last on the course at the River Valley Conference meet at Blue Top Ridge in Riverside where they were fourth of 14 teams with a score of 371. Ethan Gast shot 90 to lead the Wildcats. On the year, Durant’s nine hole team average is 195 with Gast the leader at 44. Action in both meets starts at 4p.m. and continues into the evening.
