The rivalry on the pitch between Washington and Mount Pleasant renews today with the Demon girls hosting the Panthers and the boys making a trip south.

The Demon girls sit at 5-4 on the season and will need to be at their best against the undefeated Panthers (8-0). Washington has found momentum in the last week after an 11-1 win over Mediapolis and a 6-0 shutout of Fairfield on Thursday. Andrea Lopreato is the player in maroon and gold that the Demons will have to stop, as the sophomore has found the back of the net 21 times this season. It took overtime for the Panthers to defeat the Demons 3-2 back on April 22nd.

The Washington boys are 7-4 and hope to put a 4-1 loss to Fairfield behind them. Zac Stout has 24 goals on the season and his 29 for a career is tied for the all-time mark in school history. Dillon Malone has four goals for a 2-10 Panther team that has been shutout each of the last three games. Washington beat Mount Pleasant 3-2 in the first meeting.

Both games get underway at 4:30 p.m. this evening.
