New rankings have been released by the Iowa High School Golf Coaches Association. In Class 3A, the Washington Demon girls are ranked No. 1 with their state best average team score at nine hole events of 169, 15 shots better than second place Gilbert. Individually, the Demons have four of the top six players in the state on their roster with Kiki Bruner No. 2 with a 40 average, Anna Nacos No. 4 with a 42 average and Makenna Conrad No. 6 and Josie Tanner No. 7 with 43 averages. Kaylin Long is rated No. 12 with a 46 average and Alecia Goff is No. 28 with a 52 average.

The Winfield-Mt. Union girls check in at No. 10 in class 1A with their 250 average per nine holes. The Wolves are led by Abbie Cooley, ranked No. 13 in class 1A with a 56 average.

On the boys side of the rankings, Winfield-Mt. Union is the top area team, checking in at No. 5 in class 1A with their 190 average per nine holes. Brady Loyd leads the Wolves at No. 9 individually with a 44 average per nine holes. Other ranked players include Jacob Kongable at No. 18 with a 47 average, Bryce Wade No. 27 with a 48 average, and Carter Loyd No. 41 with a 50 average.

The Washington Demons are No. 22 in this set of rankings for class 3A with their 184 average per nine holes. Roman Roth leads Washington in the individual poll at No. 12 with a 40 average per nine holes.

The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks are No. 30 this week in class 3A. Dominic McCain is ranked No. 20 in the individual poll with a 41 average per nine holes for the season.
