This year’s recipients of the KCII Business and Broadcasting Scholarship have been announced.

Washington High School seniors Halle Barkema and Hannah Rees will each receive $500 for postsecondary education to pursue a business or broadcast-related field. Barkema will be attending Creighton University to major in finance and accounting. Her high school activities have included Student Congress, National Honor Society, Youth Salute, volleyball, golf, and softball. Rees plans to attend the University of Northern Iowa to major in business and communication with a minor in sign language. Her high school activities have included National Honor Society, marching band, cross country, speech, theatre, and peer helpers. KCII offers two $500 Business and Broadcasting scholarships to graduating high school seniors annually.
