The Class 1A Boys Soccer Substate started up on Thursday and a few Southeast Iowa Super Conference teams were in action.

Columbus Community welcomed Danville (4-6) to town and the Wildcats won by the slightest of margins with a 3-2 final. Columbus improves to 8-6 and advances to play at Mediapolis on Monday in the semifinal.

Highland traveled to West Liberty (13-3) in their first round matchup and the Comets took care of business by a 7-0 tally. The Huskies finish the year 0-11 and bid farewell to eight seniors in Kayla Cerny, Miguel Rios, Owen Donovan, Justin Rodriguez, Alexis Olguin, Alan Cortes, Jacob Allen, and Ramses Vergara.
