The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys soccer team is the lone KCII-area team to appear in the final class 1A soccer poll of the 2021 season. Mid-Prairie is 10-4 on the season after a 3-0 win on Thursday to open up the substate tournament against Pella Christian. In the match Mid-Prairie had goals from Aaron Slaubaugh, Zeus Fugate and Gunnar Gingerich. On the season, Mid-Prairie is led by Owen Trimpe with 15 goals, Ethan Trimpe with nine assists and Justice Jones with 27 saves and a 79.4% save percentage. Mid-Prairie will be back in action Monday when they travel to No. 8 Albia for a class 1A substate semifinal.
