Downtown Washington was turned into a carnival of sorts to celebrate the 20th anniversary of a local business Saturday.

New Attitude Tanning Salon and Spa on South Marion Avenue held an open house with free entertainment including a bounce house and dunk tank, as well as food trucks, cotton candy, raffle drawings, and more. Owner Traci Wenger shares how it feels to mark 20 years of doing business in Washington, “I love what I do, I love the people I work with, even in the last two years our salon has taken on a whole new dynamic and atmosphere than it has been before. I can’t explain it, just new blood, new people, new faces, and I feel really comfortable and confident taking even time off of work and leaving it in the hands of the new people that are up and coming. They’re talented, they’re driven, they have great work ethic, it’s awesome.”

Wenger adds she wanted to host this open house as a way to thank the community for their support. Washington Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors congratulated Wenger with a ribbon cutting and certificate of achievement Saturday morning.
