The Highland baseball and softball teams travel to Letts tonight to meet Louisa-Muscatine in conference action. Highland softball is 3-1 on the year, having swept a doubleheader against Hillcrest Academy Tuesday and beaten Lone Tree 17-0 on Thursday after a season opening loss Monday to West Burlington. Against the rival Lady Lions, the Huskies pounded out 15 hits for their 17 runs with Payton Brun and Abbi Stransky each posting three hits and three RBI. Mackinze Hora also drove in three. Grace Batcheller pitched three innings and allowed just one hit in the win. Louisa-Muscatine is 1-1 on the season after falling to class 5A Pleasant Valley 7-0 in their opener and beating Winfield-Mt. Union 7-0. McKenzie Kissel had four hits and two RBI against the Wolves to lead the offense, Kylee Sanders threw a complete game, nine strike out shut out to get the win in the circle. The Falcons are ranked No. 1 in the state in class 2A according the initial poll from the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union. The Falcons have won seven straight in the series.

Against the rival Lions, the Huskies took the contest 15-2 behind six RBI and two homers from Brenton Bonebrake and three hits and a homer with three RBI from Luke Miller. Louisa-Muscatine is 1-0 after a 4-1 win over Winfield-Mt. Union to open the season. Against the Wolves, the Falcons were led by Jared Woerly with three hits and two RBI. He also got the win on the mound, throwing four and two thirds innings, giving up one run and striking out eight. The Huskies have won six straight in the series. Action in both games gets underway at 7p.m. tonight in Letts.
