A successful first week of the season concluded on Friday for the Highland baseball team when their red-hot offense scored in every inning of a 15-5 victory over Southeast Iowa Super Conference foe Louisa-Muscatine. 

The Huskies scored twice in each of the first five innings and five more in the sixth to enforce the mercy-rule win. The offense tallied 10 hits led by a 3-for-4 night by Chase Schultz with two RBI. Trevor McFarland knocked in three runs, Kaige Vonnahme recorded a pair of knocks, and Luke Miller was plated four times. McFarland and Logan Bonebrake combined for six innings on the hill giving up three earned runs on three hits. The Huskies conclude the first week 3-1 and they averaged over 10 runs a contest. 

The Highland softball game against the Falcons was postponed and both Huskie teams get back on the diamond tomorrow hosting Mediapolis.
