A woman in custody at the Washington County Jail was served a warrant on new charges. Thirty-six year-old Stephenie Susanne Sherman of Cedar Rapids was recently charged with possession of controlled substance third or subsequent offense, a class D felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor, for an incident that occurred near Riverside in August of 2020. Sherman was already in custody for a probation violation that occurred in April on an original charge of possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, a class C felony, stemming from an October 2018 incident.
