Washington softball will be back on the airwaves tonight when the Demons play host to Knoxville for a non-conference doubleheader.

The orange and black got the week started on the right foot last night with an 8-4 home victory over Durant to improve to 2-3 on the season. Kellie Dallmeyer and Elyse Hunt each had a pair of hits in the non-conference bout. Dallmeyer has led the offense in the first five games going 7-for-14 with eight RBI. Cara Linnenkamp has been strong in the circle with a 2.74 ERA in 23 innings of work. Knoxville is 3-2 and last beat Seymour 12-3 on Saturday. Brittany Bacorn is 7-for-12 at the dish with five runs knocked in and Ciara Heffron has recorded a 2.38 ERA in 17 2/3 innings pitched.
