Sitting in 10th place is where the Sigourney girls’ golf team is heading into the final day of competition at the Class 1A State Girls Golf Meet in Ames.

The Savages shot an 18-hole round of 420 to sit at 10th in the standings halfway through the tournament while Bishop Garrigan leads with a 342. Lily Schmidt had the best round for Sigourney with a +25 score of 96. Maddie Hornback delivered with a 100, Sidney Morse 110, Claire Svenby 114, Maizy Cowman 114, and Reggie Talbert 118. 

Day two action begins at 9 a.m. this morning at Ames Golf and Country Club.
