New week, same result for the Winfield-Mt. Union softball team last night when they picked up their fourth shutout victory of the season downing Southeast Iowa Super Conference foe Wapello by a 4-0 tally. 

Madie Anderson dropped her season ERA to 0.66 after another masterful performance in the circle tossing a complete game giving up five hits, no free passes, and striking out 11. The offense helped her out with 12 hits led by a 3-for-4 night from Anna Anderson with one RBI. Jobey Malone and Carlee Sloan each added a pair of knocks and Sloan brought in two runs. In the baseball game the Wolves trailed just 8-7 heading into the final frame, but a five run seventh for Wapello sealed a 13-8 final. 

The WMU softball squad improves to 4-1 while baseball drops to 0-5.
