Several agencies assisted in rescuing a woman from Cedar Creek southwest of Fairfield Wednesday night.
Dispatchers received a call about a female in the water at Cedar Creek near the Kale Boulevard crossing at about 9:11 p.m., according to the Fairfield Fire Department. The caller stated that the woman had been in the water for about an hour and they could not find her. Agencies arrived on scene at about 9:32 p.m., and the woman was located downstream calling for help at about 9:51 p.m. Responders located her and helped her out of the water at 9:57 p.m. The Fairfield Fire Department was assisted by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, Fairfield Police Department, Libertyville First Responders, Libertyville Fire Department, Jefferson County Emergency Management, and personnel from CARE Ambulance.
