Southeast Iowa Super Conference softball is back on the airwaves tonight when Hillcrest Academy hosts Winfield-Mt. Union for an area matchup.

The Wolves have mowed down their last six opponents and sit at 7-1 on the season. All state pitcher Madie Anderson has been the catalyst with a minuscule 0.57 ERA in the circle in 49 innings of work. The senior’s strikeout to walk ratio is superb with 96 punch outs to only nine free passes this summer. Anna Anderson is 12-for-21 at the dish with five runs knocked in. The Ravens are trying to find the win column for the first time after an 0-5 start. They last fell to Pekin on Friday by a 16-2 final. Esther Hughes is 6-for-12 at the plate with one RBI and Leah Bontrager has thrown 21 innings in the circle giving up 47 earned runs and 16 strikeouts. 

The conference showdown gets underway at 7 p.m. tonight in Kalona and listen to all of the action on FM 106.1 KCII starting at 6:30 p.m.
