A busy week continues for the Hillcrest Academy baseball and softball teams when they road trip to West Burlington today. The Hillcrest girls are 0-6 on the season after a 9-0 loss to Winfield-Mt. Union on Tuesday. For the year, the Ravens are hitting .286 as a team with a 15.92 ERA. The Ravens are led individually by Esther Hughes with a .500 average with six hits. West Burlington comes in with a 14-1 on the season. They beat Danville Monday 9-2. The Falcons are ranked No. 4 in class 3A in the latest poll from the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union. On the year, West Burlington is hitting .354 with a 1.30 ERA. Individually they are led by Logan Kelley with a .548 average. Lauren Summers in the circle is 12-0 with a 1.16ERA. These two teams met last in 2019 with the Falcons winning 11-0. West Burlington has won six in a row in the series

The Raven baseball team is 3-3 on the season, winners of three straight including a 13-3 victory in six innings Tuesday over Winfield-Mt. Union. On the year, Hillcrest is hitting .308 as a team with a 4.35 ERA. The Ravens are led individually by London Schrock hitting .435 with a team best 12 RBI on 10 hits. On the mound, he is also the leader with a 1-0 record and 1.56 ERA. West Burlington is 5-3 on the year. They got by Danville 9-8 on Monday. For the season, the Falcons are hitting .286 with an overall ERA of 7.76. Individually, they are led by Kaleb Allen with a .444 average with eight htis and four RBI. Hayden Vandenberg is 0-2 this year with a 1.31ERA. These two teams last met in 2019 with the Falcons getting a 12-2 win.
