A class B felony charge was dismissed in a Washington County case through a recent plea agreement.
Court documents show that a charge of distributing a counterfeit controlled substance to a minor was dismissed for 21-year-old AJ Phillip of Washington, and a deferred judgment was given for a charge of hemp inhalation, a serious misdemeanor. Phillip is to be placed on 10 months probation, and he must pay pecuniary damages to be filed by the county attorney’s office, a civil penalty of $430, and Category B restitution. Upon fulfillment of the conditions of probation and upon payment of the court costs, Phillip shall be discharged from probation without the entry of judgment. He must file a written request for expungement. These charges stemmed from a September 2020 incident.
