The City of Wayland would like to inform residents of the parameters they have set for what types of fireworks will be allowed within the city to celebrate the 4th of July holiday. First-class consumer fireworks are not permitted for use within the city. This includes but is not limited to, aerial shell kits and reloadable tubes, chasers, helicopters and aerial spinners, firecrackers, mine and shell devices, missile-type rockets, roman candles, and sky and bottle rockets. Types that are allowed include cone and cylindrical fountains, flitter sparklers, ground and handheld devices, ground spinners, illuminating torches, toy smoke devices, wheels, wire or dipped sparklers.
