Mid-Prairie is 4-18 on the season after a 16-0 pounding of Bellevue on Thursday at Mount Mercy. For the year, the Hawks are hitting .322 and scoring four and a half runs per game. They have a team ERA of 7.02. Individually, Mid-Prairie is led by Myah Lugar with a .400 average and 28 total hits. Katelyn Schneider has driven in a team high 17. Lugar is 4-12 in the circle, across 103 innings with a 6.73 ERA.
Davenport West is 11-6. The Falcons beat Durant 11-1 in six innings on Tuesday. For the year, West is hitting .445 as a team, averaging eight runs per outing. They have a team ERA of 4.50. Individually they are led by Abby Smith with a .545 average, 30 hits and 28 RBI. In the circle the leader is Mya Verdon with a 7-2 record and 2.98 ERA. Mid-Prairie has won four of the last six in the series. Davenport West took the last meeting 5-1 in 2018. Action starts tonight at 5p.m. at Davenport West High School.
