The Hillcrest Academy baseball and softball teams are back on the diamond tonight in Kalona when Central Lee pays a visit. The Raven baseball team is 5-5 on the year after a 12-5 victory over Lone Tree on Thursday. Josiah Beachy led the Ravens in the win with four hits and three RBI. For the season the Ravens are hitting .337 and averaging nine runs per game. The Ravens have a team ERA of 4.59. Individually, London Schrock is hitting .441 with a team best 18 RBI and 15 hits. Eli Ours is 2-1 on the year with a 2.95 ERA in 19 innings. Central Lee is 7-6 on the year, they were beaten 9-1 by New London Thursday. The Hawks are .299 as a team and averaging seven runs per game. They have a team ERA of 4.22. Individually, they are led by Jonny Snider with a .500 aerage and 15 total hits. On the mound, Dylan Stuecker is 1-0 with a 1.80 ERA in 12 innings of work. Central Lee has won five straight in the series including a 7-2 victory in 2019.

The Hillcrest softball team is 0-8 as they enter Friday. They dropped a heartbreaker 11-10 in nine innings Thursday to rival Lone Tree. As a team, the Ravens are hitting .223 as a team, scoring one run per game. They have a team ERA of 12.68. Individually, they are led by Evelyn Gerber with a .500 average. Leah Bontrager has worked in the circle for the Ravens for all but one out on the year. Central Lee is 10-6 this year. They swept New London in a doubleheader last night 11-5 and 8-2. On the year, the Hawks are hitting .280, scoring just under four runs per game. They have a team ERA of 2.68. Individually, Central Lee is led by Shanna Buford, hitting .400 with 16 hits and eight RBI. In the circle, Sophie Turner is 6-1 with a 2.27 ERA in 52 innings. The Hawks have won three in a row over Hillcrest and seven of the last nine in the series.
