Wasting no time was the key to success for the Sigourney softball team on Monday when they jumped all over South Iowa Cedar League foe BGM and finished with a 12-0 victory in five innings.
Crooked numbers of four in the first and six in the fourth helped speed along the quick night. Darby Mitchell brought in three tallies and Josephine Moore went 2-for-2 with two RBI. Ava Fisch crossed the plate three times in the win. Moore and Carly Goodwin combined for five innings in the circle giving up just one hit and two walks in the shutout.
The Savages stayed tied atop of the SICL with a 10-1 league mark and 15-8 overall.
