The Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to a four-vehicle collision in Kalona Friday. The incident occurred at about 10:41 a.m. on Highway 1 and West H Avenue near Dollar General, according to the Washington County Communications Center. Drivers involved were Brendan Serum of Kalona, Lincoln Cobb of Kalona, James Carey of Washington and Maria Flores of Iowa City. One patient was transported by Washington County Ambulance Service to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Over $1500 in damages to the vehicles was estimated.
