
The Fourth of July is this Sunday, with several opportunities to look out into the night sky for colorful celebrations around Washington County.
The Richland Community Club is sponsoring a fireworks display at 9:30 p.m. this Friday at Alumni Park, and the cities of Wayland, Wellman, and Morning Sun will each be hosting a display at dusk this Saturday as part of their day-long celebrations. The Richmond Shooters are also holding a fireworks display south of AmVets Post 107 starting at dusk Sunday, and Mount Pleasant will host a fireworks display at 9:15 p.m. Sunday at McMillan Park. The City of Washington will have a fireworks display this Sunday beginning at dusk at the Washington County Fairgrounds, with a Freedom Concert performed by the Washington Municipal Band preceding the display.
