
The Washington County Board of Supervisors approved several budgetary items for fiscal year 2022 during Tuesday’s meeting.
The board approved authorizing appropriations totalling $32,092,728, as well as designation of assigned funds of $312,000 for county facilities, $15,000 for equipment purchases, $20,000 for county aerials, and $5,000 for a citizens convenience center. Other items approved included a monthly disbursement of $13,832 to WEMIGA Waste, Inc., county employee pay rates, and disbursement of county funds totalling $441,485. Those disbursements are for non-profit organizations and agencies including the Washington Economic Development Group, Washington County Historic Preservation Commission, and Washington County Medical Examiner, which passed on a 4-1 vote with Supervisor Marcus Fedler voting nay.
