A West Chester man was recently sentenced for an amended charge of operating while under the influence in Washington County.
Court records show that through a plea agreement 31-year-old Darian Lee Patterson was found guilty of a lesser offense of operating while under the influence second offense, an aggravated misdemeanor. All but seven days of a two-year prison sentence were suspended for Patterson to be placed on two years probation. He must also pay a fine of $1,875. Patterson was originally charged with operating while under the influence third or subsequent offense, a class D felony, for a February 11th incident. At 12:49 a.m. the Washington Police Department and Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a vehicle stuck in a yard in the 600 block of East Tyler Street and placed Patterson under arrest.
