A Mount Pleasant Man was arrested for an alleged altercation with law enforcement Tuesday.
A Mount Pleasant police officer was called to 201 East Washington Street for a theft report. While on scene the officer observed 31-year-old David Hudnall in the store. Hudnall had an active probation warrant for his arrest. When approached by the officer, Hudnall provided a fake name. The officer attempted to take him into custody when a struggle ensued. Hudnall struck the officer in the face before he could successfully restrain him. The injuries sustained by the officer required medical attention following the incident.
Hudnall was transported to the Henry County Jail and charged with possession of meth third or subsequent offense, a class D felony; and assault on a police officer, carrying weapons, interference with official acts causing injury, all aggravated misdemeanors. The Mount Pleasant Police Department was assisted by the Henry County Sheriff’s Office and Probation and Parole. KCII will bring you more information as it becomes official.
