columbus-logo3-3

The Columbus Community summer teams experienced a set back on Wednesday by falling to Wapello in a pair of Southeast Iowa Super Conference matchups.

The Wapello (9-10) baseball team put up crooked numbers in each of the first three frames to build a 14-0 lead and that paved the way for a 15-3 final in five innings. They were relentless offensively with 17 hits on the evening. Columbus fell to 0-16 on the season and 0-14 in the league.

The Wildcat softball team got down early and could never climb back in an 11-3 loss to the Arrows (18-6). Columbus is now 10-15 overall and 7-8 in the division.
