The Hillcrest Academy Raven softball team made a road trip to Danville Friday to take on the Bears, falling 12-2 in a six inning contest. Danville took control early, with seven runs in the first and two more in the second to build a 9-0 lead. The Ravens scored once in the fourth and one more in the sixth to get within 9-2 before Danville pushed across three in the bottom of the sixth to finish the game early. Hillcrest was led by Sarah Miller with a two hit night. Meredith Blossom and Yani Gutierrez each had an RBI. Malia Yoder threw five and two thirds innings for the Ravens, striking out three hitters. With the loss, the Ravens wrap up the regular season with an 0-22 record. They open the playoffs Tuesday at New London.
