The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk softball team closed the regular season with a road win Friday over North Cedar 8-2 in Lowden. The Hawks scored four times in the first, once in the fourth and three more in the sixth to put the game on ice. North Cedar managed single tallies in the third and fifth innings. The Mid-Prairie offense pounded out 10 hits in the win. Madeline Schrader and Dawsyn Miller each had two hits and two RBI. Myah Lugar and Sophia Baker added one RBI each. Lugar recorded the win in the circle, working six innings, giving up seven hits, two runs, walking one and striking out seven. Mid-Prairie closes the regular season with a 10-29 overall record, their first season with double digit wins since 2017.
