Three severe thunderstorm warnings have been issued for Washington County Friday night as a Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect until midnight.

The first warning was issued at about 5:18 p.m. as a trained weather spotter confirmed dime-sized hail and moderate rain near Williamsburg. The warning was allowed to expire at 5:45 p.m. A second severe thunderstorm warning was issued at about 6:09 p.m. for southern Washington County and central Henry County and was allowed to expire about 15 minutes later. A third warning was then issued at 7:29 p.m. and expired at 8:15 p.m., with penny to nickel-sized hail spotted near West Chester. Four members of the KCII Severe Weather Action Team provided live coverage of the storms, and had the power gone out, KCII would stay on the air with our backup generator.
